nłeʔképmx Territory – K’en T’em Limited Partnership is excited to share an important update about our ongoing growth and focus. As part of an internal reorganization, we have successfully sold our 51% ownership in Rock Solid Industries Inc. (RSI).
This disposition of interest was achieved through a combination of equipment and cash, which will be reinvested into our wholly owned business, Cantex Mining Services. The equipment, already in use at Highland Valley Copper Mine (HVC), will continue to support the critical work underway as part of the HVC Mine Life Extension Project.
Our journey with RSI began in June 2020. With over 70 years of expertise in earthworks and infrastructure development, RSI has been an invaluable partner, helping us enhance our capacity to deliver high-quality services. Through this partnership, we’ve gained insights and experience that will propel us forward as we focus on growing and refining our 100% owned operations.
“We are very excited about the opportunity for our 100% owned business to continue the excellent work being done at HVC throughout the Mine Life Extension Project and beyond” said Chief Christine Walkem, Board Chair of K’en T’em and Citxw Nlaka’pamux Assembly.
“We have learned a lot through our relationship with RSI and will continue to source partners that directly align with the values that are critical to advance our communities.”
This sale underscores K’en T’em’s commitment to pursuing partnerships and strategies that align with our mission: strengthening our communities and creating long-term, sustainable opportunities. As we look to the future, Cantex Mining Services will remain a cornerstone of our efforts to deliver excellence and advance meaningful progress.
